Energy Smoothie Recipe With Rolled Oats For Breakfast

Have you ever thought about adding oatmeal to your smoothies?

Some people love a steaming bowl of oatmeal in the morning, however, others are not at all used to eating first thing in the morning.

I like oatmeal too, but I can’t always be bothered to make a bowl in the morning, so I would like to share an alternative with you that will allow you to still start your day with a healthy and delicious meal.

One of the most important things that constantly needs reminding is that a hearty breakfast lays the foundation for the whole day. However, many are put off by even the idea of a large amount of food first thing in the morning.

That is why often times they just grab a cup of coffee and skip breakfast altogether since they have neither the appetite nor the time for it.

However, there is a way to quickly consume a nutritionally sound meal in the morning. While I do like a good old bowl of oatmeal or overnight oats, I also enjoy adding oats to my morning smoothie, in addition to berries and, especially, healthy superfoods.

With its high caffeine content, the Energy superfood blend is particularly well suited for breakfast smoothies, however, if you are looking for an extra superfood boost without caffeine, try the Balance or Crunchy mixes.

Caffeine kick from guarana seeds

1 teaspoon of the Energy superfood blend is equal in caffeine content to one shot of espresso, which is why it is ideally suited for morning smoothies, and as a meal, it gives you lots of energy for the rest of the day. What’s more, making this morning smoothie takes less than 5 minutes.

In addition, eating oats promotes good digestion, balances blood sugar and regulates blood cholesterol levels. Also, oats contain a lot of fiber, which helps speed up metabolism and keeps your stomach feeling full longer.

Therefore, adding oats in particular to your smoothies is an ideal way to feel full in the first half of the day and keep cravings for snacks at bay. If you love porridge in the morning, this smoothie is sure to find its place in your diet.

Energy smoothie with oats

1 banana
1 cup of frozen strawberries
3 pitted dates
2 tbsp oats
1 glass of water or almond milk
1 tbsp Energy superfood blend

Depending on your blender’s capacity, just add 2-3 tablespoons of whole oats to your smoothies with other ingredients or blend oats with a bit of water before adding all the other ingredients.

Have fun experimenting!
